2. Age Requirements

Depending on your location, children's privacy laws require different minimum ages:

• United States (COPPA):
  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• European Union / EEA / UK:
  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, unless a member state sets a lower age (never below 13).
• Rest of the World: 
  We follow the most protective standard applicable to your region.

If you believe a child has provided information to us without proper consent, contact us immediately at support@treasuredtalestore.com so we can delete it.

3. What Information We Do Not Collect

We do not knowingly collect:

• Names of children;
• Addresses or contact information from minors;
• Photos of minors directly uploaded by children;
• Birthdates;
• Payment details from minors;
• Location/geolocation data from minors.

We also do not use children's data for marketing, advertising, or profiling.

4. Personalization Information Provided by Adults

Because TreasuredTale offers personalized gifts, adults sometimes submit children's names, photos, or dates as part of product customization.

Examples:

• A parent enters a child's name for a necklace;
• A customer uploads a child's photo for a keepsake;
• An adult provides birthday dates for engraving.

In all such cases:

• This information is submitted voluntarily by an adult;
• It is processed solely to fulfill the order;
• It is not used for marketing or advertising;
• It is protected under our Privacy Policy.

We do not collect children's information directly from minors.

5. How We Protect Children's Data

Any child-related data supplied by an adult (e.g., name for engraving) is:

• Encrypted during transfer;
• Stored securely;
• Retained only as long as necessary for order fulfillment;
• Never sold or shared for advertising;
• Deleted according to our retention schedule.

We use Shopify's secure infrastructure and industry-standard safeguards.

6. If We Discover a Child's Data Was Collected

If we become aware that a child's personal information was collected without required consent:

1. We delete the information promptly;
2. We disable the account or order if needed;
3. We notify the parent/guardian (when contact is possible);
4. We take internal steps to prevent future occurrences.

This is required by law and fully enforced.

7. Parents' & Guardians' Rights

Parents/guardians have the right to:

• Access the data submitted;
• Request deletion;
• Request correction;
• Withdraw consent (if any was provided);
• Request details about how information was used.

8. Data Retention
